“Whilst being observed by 17 000 spectators, Takeru Kobayashi set a new record: 337 chicken wings in 30 minutes.
Kobayashi-san, weighing only 127 pounds (58 Kg) earned himself both champion trophee and walked away with 20 000 USD prize money. The previous record was 255-wings set by Jonathan “Super Squibb” Squibb, who won the last 3 consecutive years. The previous 5-times record holder was local favorite Bill “El Wingador” Simmons, a 330 pounds (150 Kg) fella.”
